    About

Hi! About...what do you want to know about? Life? Love? God? The theory of Relativity? Alchemy? Or just a little about this website? I personally want to know a little about everything. That's why I love the raw food diet, and why I'm taking the time to build this web site. I want everyone out there to find out just how great you can feel every day just by making simple choices in the foods you eat.

You see, I believe that we are all inherently good. Of course, we are conditioned by social factors, sometimes outside of our control. But for the average well-reared, well-read, thinking human being, goodness comes naturally. The trouble is, society is designed to rob us of our natural goodness and replace it with greed, hurry and fear. We live in a constant state of not having enough, not being where we want to be, not being who we're meant to be. A lot of this comes through the negative feelings generated by eating the wrong foods. The fatigue and heaviness after a plateful of pasta, the jarring nervousness of the caffeinated beverage.

By fuelling ourselves on garbage, our goodness, our higher nature struggles against the forces of inertia, fatigue and negativity. This internal struggle produces feelings of anger and frustration that come out as aggression, ignorance or even violence. Most people who get angry don't want to lash out, don't want to hurt those around them, and feel profound feelings of shame a guilt after they've calmed down. But in the meantime, they create situations of fear and mistrust that only someone with highly developed emotional intelligence can then diffuse. Sadly, mistrust begets mistrust. In a couple, for example, continued bickering gives way to fighting that gives way to silences that gives way to more bickering...and on it goes.

Is this all caused by food? Well, partly, yes. Because when we eat the wrong foods, we not only are re-creating these negative emotional states time and again, we are also too tired to make effective choices in order to bring positive change into our lives. (to be continued...)
